These girls were a joy to have lunch with this week.  Both of them are so sweet and kind and always have a smile on their faces.

CAN YOU SHELVE IT?

As part of a previous Library Lesson, I took each class and let the girls race one another and then the boys to get a winner from each.  The students were responsible for putting the books in numerical order for shelving Non-Fiction books.  For the finale the winning boy and winning girl from each class raced for a Class Champion! It was so funny to see how nervous and excited they became during their race.  It was a lot bigger deal than I ever dreamed and a great lesson learned in a fun way!

I've known Wesley since his FIRST birth-day! His mom and I have taught together and been friends for a long time. I had the pleasure of having Wesley in my second grade classroom and now I've got to enjoy him the past 2 school years as his Librarian.  It was so nice to help him celebrate another birthday.  We had lunch and then he decided to stick around a little while and help me out in the Library.  He checked in books, shelved them, and even did a little straightening up and cleaning before he left. I'm beginning to think I might have gotten the best end of the deal on this one! 😊

Birthday Beauties!

Enjoyed my lunch with these lovely girls! We actually had our lunch in the Library.  It was great having lunch in a quiet place. These girls are so sweet and we had a great time! I truly enjoy this Book Club.
