THANK YOU TO OUR CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM!!

I want to give a big THANK YOU to our Albertville City Schools CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM for donating new books to our school library!! 

CELEBRATING MAY AND SUMMER BIRTHDAYS!!

THE PAST 2 WEEKS I HAVE FINISHED UP THE BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB WITH ALL MAY AND SUMMER BIRTHDAY STUDENTS.  THIS CLUB HAS BEEN A GREAT SUCCESS AND A LOT OF FUN! IT IS SO NICE TO GET TO KNOW THESE STUDENTS BETTER AND MAKE SOME GREAT MEMORIES.  

THANK YOU PARENTS FOR ALLOWING THEM TO PARTICIPATE!! I DEFINITELY PLAN ON DOING THIS AGAIN NEXT YEAR SO I HOPE TO SEE MORE STUDENTS JOIN THE CLUB!!

These girls were a joy to have lunch with this week.  Both of them are so sweet and kind and always have a smile on their faces.

CAN YOU SHELVE IT?

As part of a previous Library Lesson, I took each class and let the girls race one another and then the boys to get a winner from each.  The students were responsible for putting the books in numerical order for shelving Non-Fiction books.  For the finale the winning boy and winning girl from each class raced for a Class Champion! It was so funny to see how nervous and excited they became during their race.  It was a lot bigger deal than I ever dreamed and a great lesson learned in a fun way!

I've known Wesley since his FIRST birth-day! His mom and I have taught together and been friends for a long time. I had the pleasure of having Wesley in my second grade classroom and now I've got to enjoy him the past 2 school years as his Librarian.  It was so nice to help him celebrate another birthday.  We had lunch and then he decided to stick around a little while and help me out in the Library.  He checked in books, shelved them, and even did a little straightening up and cleaning before he left. I'm beginning to think I might have gotten the best end of the deal on this one! 😊

Enjoyed my lunch with these lovely girls! We actually had our lunch in the Library.  It was great having lunch in a quiet place. These girls are so sweet and we had a great time! I truly enjoy this Book Club.

DOUBLE DAY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday to the Twins!! It was really nice to get to know these two fellas a little better. I never got to see them at the same time to compare their likes and differences since they are in separate classrooms.  It was neat to be able to see how different they really are not only in looks but also in personalities.

YES, I did share this on FaceBook but I totally forgot my Blog! These girls had birthdays before we got out for Christmas.  They were so much fun to hang out with. I think they may have made a new friend from all of this!
